Chizavane is a small village situated about 280 kilometers to the north of Maputo. The town is largely undeveloped, but there are a few excellent resorts to be found at the end of a ten kilometer sand road that leads to Praia de Chizavane, or Chizavane Beach. There is some very good fishing and diving to be found at Chizavane, and boats can be chartered. Chizavane is the perfect holiday destination for those who wish to "get away from the rat race" of city life.
