Our cottages are supplied with electricity and there is a back-up generator for the restaurant and bar. Amazing sunsets can be viewed over our natural mangroves. These salt water mangroves are ideal for sunset walks and eco-adventurists.
Snorkel along the vibrant reefs and enjoy the intriguing marine life and interesting corals. Tremendous game fishing can be found in our waters. This is the perfect place for the less experienced fishermen as well. Other water sports are welcomed.
Dhow rides are available from Inhambane harbour to neighbouring towns such as Maxixe. Inhambane is the second oldest town in Mozambique. Stroll through its intriguing streets and visit the local market and harbour.

The 7 Sunset cottages are 1.5km up from the Barra beach, near the private swimming pool and The Thirsty Parrot. The setting is idyllic and each accommodation unit enjoys the most spectacular 360 view of the beach, salt water mangroves and the second largest coconut plantation in the world.
Whilst the cottages are self-catering, meals can be taken at The Thirsty Parrot, a popular social venue within Sunset Lodge famous for exotic cocktails and hearty meals.

Scuba Diving and Snorkelling
The lagoon waters are calm and shallow as well as distant sea reefs which makes it ideal for snorkelling
There are 15 reefs in the area where some of the best scuba diving in the world is possible. Whale sharks, manta rays, and dolphins are all common sights.
Fishing and Deep Sea Fishing
Charters can be arranged for deep sea fishing, snorkelling, trips to Pansy Island, and booze cruises.
